What time is check in/check out?

Check in is anytime after 3:00 PM, check out is no later than 10:00 AM. We try to accommodate early check-in whenever possible, but cannot guarantee it. You are welcome to arrive on the island early and enjoy all downtown has to offer and we will text you as soon as your cabin is ready. We like to meet all of our guests at the cabin for check-in so we ask that you text or call 419-285-6348 when you board the ferry so we have a 30 minute notice to get down to the cabin and greet you. If you arrive early we can give you a status update at that time.

What should the guests do before checking out?

Upon check out we ask that you do the following: Place dirty towels in the laundry hamper, wash any dishes used, take trash out to the dumpster by the shed and send us a quick text to let us know you have departed.

Is parking available?

Parking for the Cedar Cabin is on the left side of the driveway. Parking for the Massie Cabin is on the right side of the driveway. The driveway is quite long and can fit 3-4 cars on each respective side or 1 car, plus one truck with boat trailer. Parking is not permitted in the yard or along the street.

Can I bring my pets?

We love pets but cannot accommodate your furry friends because of the extra cleaning time needed to make it safe for people with pet allergies.

Is there a minimum age to rent the Cabins?

Primary renter must be 25 years of age. The primary renter must be present for the entire booking.

Are parties or events permitted?

We are located in a quiet residential area, as such we do not allow parties or events at the Cabins. No guests outside of your reservation are permitted on the premises during your stay. We have a peaceful property that is designed to accommodate only the maximum number of guests per cabin. We can suggest lots of great venues nearby to meet up with friends and have a great time.

Is there a maximum number of people?

Each cabin can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 6 guests. Due to Ohio state occupancy laws and fire codes we can not accommodate additional guests in the cabins.

What is your cancellation policy?

Put-in-Bay Cabins has a strict cancellation policy. Guests will only receive a full refund of deposit if cancelled 30 days prior to the day of check in. After that, guests can cancel up to 14 days prior to check in and receive a refund of 50% of total payment. No refunds will be issued for cancellations within 7 days of check in. Please contact us as soon as possible when making a cancellation.

What kinds of amenities are included?

Both cabins have central heat and central air. Both cabins have 2 decks each with dining table and seating and a private fire pit for each cabin. Bedding, linens, towels, hairdryer, toilet paper (6 rolls), paper towels (1 roll/stay), trash bags, countertop cleaner, hand soap for the kitchen and bathroom, dish soap and dish sponge are provided. These are provided for use during your stay only and are not to be taken upon check out. The kitchens are fully equipped with stove, fridge, microwave, drip coffee maker, kerig coffee maker, toaster, and outdoor gas grill with propane provided. This includes all the standard kitchen tools, pots, pans, silverware, glassware, and cooking/grill utensils. Smart TV provided, with spectrum cable. Don't forget to log out of your Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, etc. upon check out. We are not liable for any charges or issues with your account. WIFI is provided. Fish cleaning area provided, with the expectations of guests cleaning up after themselves when done and disposing of their fish guts at the Put-in-Bay Township Dump.

What should guests bring?

Guests should bring food, beverages, personal toiletries, beach towels, swimsuits, firewood (there is a place on the island to purchase for $10/box), bicycles, paddle boards, kayaks, fishing poles or yard games.

How do you get to the Cabins?

The address for both cabins is 141 Massie Drive. The Cabins are located 1 miles from the downtown Jet Express Dock, and about 3 miles from the Miller Ferry Dock. At the Jet Express you may have to call for a taxi. You can rent a golf cart from the downtown area to get to the cabins, we recommend Boathouse Carts for overnight rental. There are always taxis waiting at the Miller Dock to take passengers to their various destinations. You are also welcome to bring your car over on the Miller Ferry. We suggest this if you are have booked a long stay, have lots of groceries and luggage, and/or have small children or mobility impaired guests. The vehicle traffic on the ferry is always the busiest in the summer on the Fridays coming to the island, and Sundays leaving the island so you might have a wait to board on those days.

Do you offer golf cart rentals?

Yes, we have 3 four seat golf carts available for rent during your stay. The cart will be waiting at the cabin at check-in and we will meet you to give you the keys and sign a golf cart rental agreement. When you check-out you can just leave the cart in the driveway and the keys inside your cabin. When booking, inquire about rates and reserving a golf cart for your stay.
